Smoky Mountain Christmas
It’s that time, Christmas time here! What better way to experience a Christmas Vacation than with a Smoky Mountain Christmas! For anything and everything Christmas, we’ve got your covered. Between Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville, the magical feeling of Christmas is sure to be felt by everyone in your family. Let’s take a look at what a Smoky Mountain Christmas looks like.
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire! All of our Pigeon Forge Condo Rentals are equipped with beautiful fire places! Nothing sounds more cozy than snuggling up on the couch near the fireplace, watching a Christmas movie! Sipping hot chocolate and some other yummy snacks, all made in your fully equipped kitchen! Our condos are truly a home away from home. Not only will you be welcomed by our festive Christmas display outdoors, some condos are decorated inside as well! Each condo is individually owned and some of our owners make special trips just to decorate. It’s all about the environment, am I right? Here is a list of the condos currently decorated for Christmas.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Some of our favorite local attractions ‘deck the halls’ and transform into a Christmas wonderland! First stop is on everyone’s list, Dollywood! Any type of festival Dollywood puts on is always top notch. Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas is no exception! The entire park is overtaken with a beautiful light display and full of live entertainment that will warm your heart with the true meaning of Christmas. Don’t forget to stop and meet the big guy himself at Santa Land along with Rudolph and his friends. A list of all shows and activities going on during Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas can be found HERE. However, be sure to check out It’s a Wonderful Life, new to Dollywood this year!
The Titanic Museum has always been one of my favorite Pigeon Forge attractions. I love the history of this remarkable ‘unsinkable ship’ and the stories of those who sailed on her maiden voyage. The sleek, classy, elegant feel of the Titanic Museum enhances during the Christmas season. The ship will be ‘aglow with glittering lights and festive holiday decorations.’ This is a fun indoor outing that is not only educational but cheery with the Christmas spirit. Discounted ticket prices are available for Resort Property Management guests.
The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel located at the Island in Pigeon Forge is a great way to get a view of the whole city! You can spend an entire day at the Island in Pigeon Forge whether it’s shopping, eating, or playing. Be sure to experience the dancing water fountains and live music! The Island is transformed into a winter wonderland, a perfect backdrop for pictures.
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! If you are looking for fun live entertainment to bring Christmas cheer you have come to the right place! Below is a list of Christmas Shows to make your Smoky Mountain Christmas complete!
Country Tonite Christmas Show is sure to be enjoyed by all ages! A beautiful rendition of your favorite holiday classics, along to one of a kind choreography, you will be begging for more! Country Tonite always puts on a remarkable performance, but their Christmas show is one of a kind!
Go big or go home is the Smoky Mountain Opry motto! This multi-million dollar Christmas production features flying sugar plum fairies, soaring angels, dancing elves, enchanted reindeer, Jolly ol’ St. Nick, and most importantly the celebration of the birth of Christ, with the largest living nativity! This is by far a first class Christmas experience. Surely to transform any Grinch or Scrooge. 🙂
Dixie Stampede is one of our favorite dinner shows! Where the food is delicious and the entertainment is great! There is no doubt about it, Dolly Parton knows how to keep us coming back for more!
A few other Christmas shows to see are Christmas at Lumberjack Adventure, Hatfield & McCoy Christmas Dinner Disaster, Biblical Times Christmas Feast, The Comedy Barn Christmas, and Mistletoe & Malarkey (located in Gatlinburg).
Rigging up the Christmas lights may be one of the 12 pains of Christmas (one of my favorite Christmas songs, you can listen to it here for a good laugh!) but the outcome is totally worth it! Here are the places to go to see those magical twinkling lights! Let the ‘oooo-ing and ahhh-ing’ begin!
Pigeon Forge Winterfest allows you to experience the most imaginative light experience! With over 5 million lights to see ‘winter frost turns into a winter metropolis’! If you’d rather ride than drive check out Pigeon Forge Trolley of Lights Tour! You can view a map of the tour to see where you are headed, and the story behind this remarkable light display.
Shadracks Christmas Wonderland at the Smokies Baseball Stadium is another fun family outing. Located right off of exit 407 at your convenience (if you are coming or going). This extravagant light display moves to the beat of music. Prices and activities can be found on their website. You can enjoy this light display from the comfort and warmth of your own vehicle! I mentioned it earlier, but don’t forget about Dollywood! The entire park is transformed into a glowing winter wonderland! Be sure to witness the Parade of Many Colors, it’s usually close to closing time.
