Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cabin! The finishes are very nice and we loved the location and having our fur babies as well! As for some constructive feedback, as you are aware, these cabins are priced at a premium! So in my opinion they should be in “premium” condition. I am also a Realtor in Georgia so I understand how important feedback is to keep your guest happy. For starters we couldn’t get in the house. The keypad just would not work. Thankfully your team was extremely helpful and resolved the issue by giving us the key box code in a very timely manner. The next day the regular code started working, thankfully! Our son wanted to get in the pool right away but unfortunately the pool water was freezing and there is not a remote to control the heat in the pool room either. So him and my husband froze. Every day they got in the pool. However, my husband did figure out that he could use the remote from the inside to work the heater in the room at minimum, but the water was still very cold. Your company offered to have a work order created but we had plans the entire time we were there and didn’t have time to deal with maintenance people nor did we want someone in the cabin while we were not there especially since we have dogs. There are exposed nails on at least two steps going downstairs. One that my son stepped on in the middle of his foot and one I stepped on on the ball of my foot and it was painful. The main level toilet is very shaky and it loose and the handle is loose/broken. The upstairs bathroom toilet paper holder is broken. While trying to give our son a nap on Friday, he was constantly awakened by construction right outside of our cabin. Up and down up and down up and down the road and the little side road down from our cabin. We understand construction is happening to build new cabins but perhaps a price reduction should be made during the construction times. Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday they worked clearing land behind our cabin. This caused our dogs to bark constantly while on the deck and of course the construction is very noisy. Definitely not the serene mountain feel that we would have preferred while chilling on the back porch. The first night we were here my husband wore white socks for just a couple hours and they were literally brown by the time we went to bed. The floors are filthy. We can see spills and other things randomly on the floor as well. You need soap dishes in the bathrooms and possibly the kitchen. There is no place to keep the bar of soap so then the countertops turn white when you leave a wet soap bar sitting on them. Also, there is zero privacy in the living room at night. You can see straight in the cabin while just sitting on the couch (which by the way are the most uncomfortable couches ever) watching TV and that’s an uncomfortable feeling. When we got there the main level of the cabin had a VERY strong odor of food that is like permeated into the wood of the main level. It was so strong and nauseating!!!! Lastly, we saw on the driveway there are bones, egg shells, what looks like maybe pepper seeds and other random trash that our dogs tried to get into it multiple times. Upon speaking to the neighbor, the people that were here before us were cooking a lot and they left 3 bags of trash in the driveway. Over night 2 bears showed up and spread the trash all over the driveway and all down the hill. At 1:00 in the morning the neighbor was awakened to the people in this cabin screaming and yelling and making a fuss for the bears to leave while they were activity destroying the trash everywhere. Wow!! Makes sense as to why it smells so bad in the cabin AND why there is left over food on the driveway. The neighbors said the people cleaned a lot of it up but that was definitely still on the driveway. Y'all might have to make it a little more clear NOT to leave trash outside like that (put a sign on the trash cans inside??) It seems apparent with locking trash cans outside but some people apparently don't get it. I know this sounds like a lot and really it kind of was for the price we paid. We very fortunately travel on the regular and we “splurged” a little on this cabin for my husbands 40th birthday celebration. We are not completely dissatisfied by any means as again the cabin is absolutely gorgeous and we love so many of the finishes and the pool, but we would like it a lot more if it was warm and the location and what will be a serene ambience once the construction is done. Oh and that we can have our fur babies. However, like I mentioned before for the price we feel like there should not have been so many hangups and inconveniences along the way. We thank y’all again for letting us stay at your beautiful place and we will definitely look you up the next time we come to Pigeon Forge!
